MAC HAUL | 맥 하울

Hallo friends,

 I've recently developed a new obsession for MAC. It's actually quite scary how many MAC products I've accumulated throughout the past two(?) months, but I'm more than satisfied with all of my purchases ohoho : >

All of the products that I'm going to show you guys today have been part of my daily make-up routine, so I have plenty to say about ALL of them! Let's just jump right into it then!

제가 오늘 소개할 모든 제품들은 평소에 데일리 메이크업으로도 자주 사용하는 애들이라서 후기도 최대한 꼼꼼히 적어볼게용~

EYE SHADOW - EXPENSIVE PINK

Although the name of this shadow has the word "pink" in it, I think this shade is closer to a coral/orange, rose gold than a pink. Swatched, you can see that is a beautiful salmon-y color with a sheen of gold shimmer. I think this shade looks gorgeous on every skin tone. It is extremely blendable and easy to work with--perfect for daily use! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT OK JUST GO BUY IT

BLUSH - PEACHES

A coral/peach shade that can also look a little orange under certain lighting. This blush instantly brightens your face and makes your overall look more lively and youthful. 

PS. Make sure to use a light hand with this blush! It's super pigmented :o

LIPSTICK (MATTE) - RELENTLESSLY RED

I've always loved the matte lipstick look, but yo girl has super dry lips...(sigh) BUT FOR SOME REASON, MAC matte lipsticks don't feel as drying as other brands (not gonna name any names). Although the name of this lipstick has the word "red" in it, when applied on the lips, I feel like this shade is closer to a hot pink, if anything (MAC's naming game is not on-point...or do they do it on purpose? we will never know). Absolutely love the matte texture, longevity, and pigmentation.

LIPSTICK (MATTE) - LADY DANGER

Another bright lip wau wau~ Beware: when you go outside with this lipstick on, people will only stare at your lips. One of the brightest and obnoxiously red lipsticks that I own, but I LAHVE IT. The orange undertone makes this shade more wearable than true reds--especially for people with a warmer skin tone! A solid conversation starter (I've gotten compliments on this lipstick even from my visual arts professor) and a bold, statement piece!

EYE SHADOW - SOFT BROWN

I was in the market for a new base shadow that'll go with any eye make-up look. I debated intensely between this one, MAC - SOBA, and BOBBI BROWN - TOAST. Then, I vaguely remembered my friend, @sunnybabyy, raving about this shadow, saying that it has been one of her holy grail shadows for the past however many years, so I decided to settle on it (and I'm glad I did!). It has a peachy undertone compared to soba and toast, and I think that makes it look more natural on my skin tone and better suits the make-up style that I prefer!

소프트 브라운! 피치 언더톤이 너무너무 맘에 들어요! 무난하게 데일리 베이스로 쓰기 좋아요~

SWATCH | REVIEW: Lime Crime Venus Palette

Hey guys! 

I'm here to review a fresh addition to my, slowly but surely, expanding vanity collection (aka MAKE-UP). I've been really digging' the pink make-up look for the Spring time, which eventually made me get into red eye shadows... TBH, 9 out of the 10 times, my daily eye make-up these days make me look like I have an eye irritation, but I kinda lyke... Is that weird? Anyway, due to this odd obsession (that'll last for who knows how long--it's probably just a phase), I've been on the market for red/burgundy eye shadows, and I FINALLY FOUND THE PERFECT PALETTE THAT'LL SATISFY MY CRAVING.

So, for those of you who are willing to step out of your comfort zone of nude and brown shadows and explore the "red-eye" make-up trend (is it even a trend doe) with me, let me show you gurl.

요즘 부쩍 메이크업에 대한 관심이 솟아나고있는 시니입니다.

평범한 브라운/누드 쉐도우들은 저리 가라!

 봄맞이 데일리룩으로 핑크 쉐도우를 즐겨 썼었는데요, 

더더더 강하고 튀는걸 찾다보니 레드룩에 정착했댜늉... 

잘못하면 심하게 부어 보일수도 있고, 

눈병난거처럼 보일수도 있는 룩이지만... 

그냥... 지금 빠져있는걸 어떠켛ㅎㅎㅎ... 

빨강이/버건디 쉐도우를 찾다가 

라임 크라임에서 진짜 취!저! 쉐도우 팰랫을 발견해서 

바로 겟!!!!!!했찌요~ 

그럼 발색 보러 꼬우!

Lime Crime: Venus Palette

Top row (from left to right): Venus, Shell, Aura, Creation

VENUS:

It's definitely my favorite shade in the palette. It's a more orangy-red, which makes it definitely more wearable and easier to work with. It also glides on the smoothest out of all the shades.

SHELL: 

A perfect highlighter shade for those of you that like to give your inner eye corners that extra shine and glow. Beautiful peachy-pink shade that has a sheen of champaign shimmer!

AURA: 

I think the name of this shade is so fitting. It has a fine gold sheen to it, so nothing too in-your-face. This cream shadow is the perfect base and highlighter shade for any make-up look. 

CREATION: 

Brick color with an orange tone? This shade is definitely more on the browner side, but it's definitely special because it has small particles of red/hot-pink glitter in it.

ICON: 

Just like the shade Creation, Icon also has particles of red/hot-pink glitter. It may seem like your typical brown shadow, but it'll definitely give you that extra sparkle in your eyes, unlike any matte brown shadow.

REBIRTH: 

A very pretty coral pink shade that's perfect for the warmer months to come. This shade alone looks so famine and Spring/Summer appropriate!

DIVINE: 

The perfect blending shade for defining the crease area and blending away any two shades. Also, this shimmery taupe color serves as a beautiful all-over-the-lid base when you apply it using a lighter hand.

MUSE:

This is it guys. The red I've been in searching for. It is bold, deep, and so freaking red L O L. Muse is the shade that lies in between a solid primary red and a deep burgundy. Although it looks quite scary swatched on my wrist, you guys would be surprised at how wearable it actually is : >

Overall, I am in love with the color selections and creamy texture of this palette. Although the glitter in all of these shadows are quite large and predominant, which ultimately make them more prone to fall-outs, I still love the color pay-off and blendability!

전체적으로 펄날림이 없지는 않지만

 색감들, 그리고  블렌딩하기 쉬운 크리미한 질감이 너무 맘에 들어서 

만족하며 쓰고있어요! : >

I THOUGH IT WAS SPRING - OOTD

Hallo my friends~

Although month wise, we are smack-dab in the middle of Spring, the San Diegan weather doesn't think so. For over a week, we've been experiencing unusually gloomy and cold weather, so I've been regretting sending away my fall/winter clothes back home with my parents :'( But what can I do; I need to work with what I have, right? Today, I had an internship meeting and work, so I couldn't completely bum it in my cozy UCSD hoodie and some trustee sweats (sigh)... SHO, I decided to throw on my cape-like maxi cardigan on top of a flowy lacy mock-neck shirt in order to look a little more put-together, yet covered from head to toe (literally).

한국은 완전 봄인가요? 캘리포니아 날씨는 정말 변덕스러워요 ㅠㅠ 몇주전에는 여름 뺨치게 덥더니 지난 일주일은 정말 gloomy gloomy. 다른 날 같았으면 그냥 학교후디에 츄리닝바지를 입고 클래스 갔겠지만, 오늘은 인턴쉽 미팅이랑 과외하는 날...ㅎ 따땃한 옷들을 집으로 보내버린게 너무 후회되는 순간 :'( 그나마 니트스러운(?) 맥시 가디건을 걸치고 덜덜 떨면서 하루종일 여기저기 누비고 다녔다지요...

HAUL | REVIEW : Korean Cosmetics

Hi guys!

I'm super excited about today's blog post because I think I discovered some of my newest holy grail products! Few months ago, my mom went to Korea, and being the awesome mother she is, she asked me if I wanted/needed anything from Korea. And of course I wasn't going to pass out on that offer (heh heh) ; > Recently, I've been watching a lot of Korean YouTube videos and took note of some of the products that Korean beauty gurus have been raving about. I made a list of the products that I wanted to try out, sent it to my madre, and few days ago, upon her return, my mom literally came back bearing gifts! Let's just jump right into it.

THE SAEM : ECO SOUL BB CAKE (NATURAL BEIGE 02)

더샘: 에코 소울 비비 케잌 (내츄럴 베이지 2호)

I'm usually not a huge fan of the cushion BB's or just BB creams in general, but this new BB cake blew me away. It is so light on the skin, but it gives me a flawless finish. I apply this BB cake using just my fingers or a foundation brush, so I don't get too much use out of the puff that comes with it, but I'm sure it's great. The finish is more on the dewy side, but as long as you pat it down with some mattifying finishing powder, a light layer of this foundation will stick with you the entire day.

제가 원래 비비쿠션이나 비비크림 자체를 잘 안쓰는데요, 더샘 에코소울 비비 케잌은 좋은 리뷰들이 너무 많아서 한번 써보게 되었어요!! 완전 만족 대만족 : > 진짜 가볍고, 밀착력, 지속력...다 좋아요! 윤기있는 피부 표현을 좋아하시는 분들은 이거 자체만으로도 만족하실거같지만 보송보송한 피부표현을 좋아하시는 분들은 루스 파우더로 마무리 하셔야할거같아요! 

BANILA CO: FACE MULTI-SHADING 

바닐라코: 페이스 멀티 쉐이딩

This contour palette is on-point. All four of the shades are more on the neutral side, so I think it'll match a wide range of skin tones. Personally, I'm not a fan of contours/bronzers with a red undertone, so I'm digging' the almost grey-ish(?) undertones of this palette. The first and the third shade (going from left to right) are perfect to contour your nose and hairline, and for an overall contour of your cheekbones and jawline, I recommend getting an even distribution of all the colors on your contour  brush to get a natural, even shade. Remember! Over contouring your face with a contour shade that has grey undertones can make you look dirty... lol 

넘치는 볼살을 이제 더이상 젖살이라고 우길 수 없는 씨니에겐 필수템인 쉐이딩!

레드 언더톤을 띄는 쉐이딩들은 제 피부톤이랑 잘 안맞아서 그레이톤 쉐이딩들을 즐겨쓰는 편인데요!! 이 팔렛도 4가지 색을 따로따로 봤을땐 나름 뉴트럴 & 레드 톤을 띄는 색들이 있긴 한데 블렌딩해서 얼굴에 올렸을때 그레이톤으로 발색돼서 너무 좋아요ㅠㅠ 첫번째랑 세번째 색! 콧대잡기 너무 좋아요 : ^ ) remember! 그레이톤 쉐이딩으로 너무 심하게 음영을 주다보면 자칫 더러워(?)  보일 수 있으니...ㅎ 죠심하세요...(coming from personal experience)

THE SAEM: COVER PERFECTION TIP CONCEALER (NATURAL BEIGE 02)

더샘: 커버 퍼펙션 팁 컨실러 (내튜럴 베이지 2호)

This concealer is a perfect dupe of the Nars radiant creamy concealer. Maybe a little more on the liquidy side? But the coverage is spot-on purrfect. Also, it's a fraction of the price! Surprise surprise. I'm definitely stocking up on this when I go to Korea in the Summer! 

  나스 크리미 컨실러의 완벽한 저렴이 버전인 더샘 커버 퍼펙션! 너무 너무 너무 너무 너무 너무 너무 좋아요! 나스꺼보다 조금 더 리퀴드 형식인데 그래서 그런지 블렌딩 하기도 더 쉬워요~

ETUDE HOUSE: LOVELY COOKIE BLUSHER (GRAPEFRUIT JELLY)

에뛰드 하우스: 러블리 쿠키 블러셔 (그레프후르츠 젤리)

I am absolutely in love with this bright, borderline neon, pink blush. It's probably the most obnoxiously pink blush I've ever owned BUT I LIKE IT. It adds the perfect amount of youthfulness and vibrancy to your face. I've been loving it with my Spring everyday make-up look (which I'll probably create a tutorial blog post on...)

거의 형광빛 도는, 에뛰드 하우스랑 정말 잘 어울리는 밝은 핑크 블러쉬!

너무 좋아요!! 정말 소녀 소녀... 봄이랑 너무 잘 어울리는 제품이에요 : >

INNISFREE: MINERAL STICK CONCEALOR (NATURAL BEIGE 02)

이니스프리: 미네랄 스틱 컨실러(내츄럴 베이지 2호)

This stick concealer doesn't give you the best coverage, but it's finish is SO natural. I love it for its convenience (I literally just roll this cover my dark circles and imperfections and blend by patting foundation over it with my fingers). If you're a gal with relatively flawless skin, I say go for it!

커버리지는 다른 크림/리퀴드 컨실러들 보다 떨어지지만, 정말 자연스러워요! 보통 스틱 컨실러들이 잘 밀리고 블렌딩 하기도 어려운데 피부에 착착 붙는 느낌?! 자연스러운 피니시를 원하시는 분들께 추천 추천! 

ARITAUM: WORLD GALM COATING TINT (NO.1 NEW YORK)

아리따움: 월드 글램 코팅 틴트 (1호 뉴욕)

Is it a tint? Is it a gloss? I love the consistency of this thing even though I can't really figure out what it is... I love how it's not as drying as a tint, but it's not super glassy and sticky like a gloss. MYSTERY. But any who, Korean cosmetic brands do lip products well. I love this particular shade because it's the perfect everyday color for Spring~

아리따움 코팅 틴트 유명하죠? 뒷북 둥둥둥~ 틴트인듯 글로스인듯 틴트같은 너...ㅎ

에브리데이로 바르기 정말 좋아요! 파우치에 넣고 다니면서 밖에서도 그냥 거울없이 슥슥 바를수있는 만만한 색이에요!

INNISFREE: LIFTING CURL CARA (BROWN)

이니스프리: 리프팅 컬 카라 (브라운)

Is it because I'm spoiled by the amazing drug store mascaras in the States? This "lifting curl cara" didn't blow me away because it didn't lift or curl any of my lashes. In fact, it did the exact opposite! It  made my lashes super sad and droopy, as if they're not already straight enough... The positive of this mascara was that although it's not waterproof, it didn't smudge or carry any product onto my under-eye or eyelids. And because it wasn't waterproof, taking this thing off was a piece of cake! (I was able to get everything off with just my Bioderma).

리프팅 & 컬링을 위한 제품인줄 알고 샀는데 오히려 속눈썹들이 인사를 하더라구요... 리프팅은 커녕 속눈썹들이 너무 심하게 쳐져서ㅠㅠ 컬링이랑 리프팅 원하시는 분들은 메이블린 로켓  (워터프루프) 추천해요~

Blush Season - OOTD

Hallo beautifoos,

This past week has been a tough one for me, but I'm so happy to say that I'M DONE WITH MIDTERMS~ (well, at least for now...) To celebrate, my lovely roommate and I decided to go on a spontaneous trip to Downtown La Jolla, or the Cove.
